How to Set Up Your Google Business Profile
If you’re an aesthetics practitioner, you MUST have a presence on Google!
Setting up a Google Business Profile literally puts your business on the map - Google Maps!
It’s really pretty simple to do too.
Before you get started, it’s easiest to use a computer to create your Google Business profile. It’s also helpful to have a few things to hand:
A business email
A Google account using that business email
Your website address or Glowday Branded booking link
Photos of you and your clinic
A description of your business
Here are the step-by-step instructions to setting up your Google Business Profile
Head to Google.com
Log into your Google account using your business email by clicking the SIGN IN button in the top right hand corner. If you don’t have a Google account, you will need to create one.
Go to create a profile
Enter the name of your business. You may find that your business pops up on the list as you type.
If you get a message that someone else has already verified the business, request ownership of the Business Profile
Search for your business category - suitable ones for aesthetic clinics include medical spa, medical centre, beautician, beauty salon.
Click NEXT.
Click YES to indicate you have a business that people can visit.
You may be asked to enter your business address or position a marker on a map for the location of your businesses. When finished, click Next.
Enter the service area of your business.
You can set your service area based on the cities, postcodes or other areas that you serve. You can add up to 20 service areas.
As people are happy to travel for aesthetic treatments, you can extend the boundary of your overall area unto about 2hrs away from your business location.
Add your phone number and web address and click NEXT.
Go back through and check all of the information you have provided. Once you’re happy click FINISH.
Select a verification option.

To verify later: Click VERIFY LATER
Once your profile has been verified, which can take a while, you can then log in to your Google Business Profile and update your profile with photos, a description, your booking link and contact details.
You can then direct people to your Google Business Profile to leave you reviews!
