Level Up Your Post-Treatment Emails

If you use GlowdayPRO, a receipt email goes out to your patients as soon as a treatment is completed. You can configure the contents of this email to ensure they get the right information at the right time.

Automated post-treatment emails are an opportunity for you to not only communicate important post-treatment advice, but they are an overlooked and untapped communication channel.

Here’s how to level-up your post-treatment email to deliver great customer service & boost your business!

Don’t waste this opportunity to communicate with your patients!

Here are a few ideas about what you can pop in your post-treatment emails.

1. Share specific post-treatment advice

This should be specific to the treatment administered, but you can also add in when they should expect to see results, when the treatment will “wear off” and when they should think about booking back in.

Here’s an example of some anti-wrinkle post-treatment advice:

POST-TREATMENT INFORMATION

Following your treatment, you can go about your normal day.

It is important that you adhere to the following advice carefully. This will help you gain maximum effect from the procedure and reduce the risk of complications.

  • You may experience localised redness and pin-prick marks around the injection sites. These will subside within 24hrs.

  • Avoid rubbing or massaging the treated area and avoid strenuous exercise for 24 – 48 hours after treatment. Failure to do so may result in the toxin moving into muscles it shouldn't.

  • The treatment takes around 72 hours to begin working and 2 weeks for the effects to be fully visible, although you may feel most of the effect after 7 to 10 days.

  • The effects will wear off gradually over the following 12-16 weeks. During this time, you will regain normal facial movements. This is to be expected as the neuromodulator is metabolised.

  • You can book in for your next anti-wrinkle treatment 12 weeks after your initial treatment, not before.

2. Cover Complications

They happen and can be stressful for both you and your patient. One thing that makes complications a whole lot easier for all involved is good communication.

Include the signs patients are to look out for and your emergency contact details in your post-treatment email.

COMPLICATIONS

If you experience prolonged bruising, swelling, irritation, signs of infection or drooping, please get in touch with me on 07968123456.

3. Re-iterate Review Appointment Information

Don’t expect your patients to automatically know what your ‘rules’ are about review appointments. They aren’t mind readers!

Including your stance on review appointments in your post-treatment email. This not only clarifies how you like to operate, it can help limit appointment slots being filled by routinely booking in review appointments when they may not be needed.

Here’s an example of how you can word it:

REVIEW APPOINTMENT

You’re eligible for a complementary review appointment 14-21 days after your initial treatment appointment where I will determine if your dose needs adjusting. This is not a “top up”. If the initial dose is sufficient, no additional treatment is necessary.

DO NOT book a review appointment before 14 days or after 21 days.

You can book your review appointment by logging into your Glowday account at Glowday.com

4. Review Requests

Your post-treatment email is the perfect place for you to ask for a review and make it easy for people to leave reviews.

There’s no such thing as too many reviews, and some people will be more likely to leave reviews on one platforms vs another.

Here’s how you can politely request reviews, automatically:

REVIEWS

Thank you so much for choosing us for your treatment today!

We hope you've had a great experience. We really value your feedback, so if you're happy to share your experience, we'd be hugely grateful if you could leave us a review. Here are a few places you can leave feedback:

Glowday: You'll receive an email, in the next day or so, inviting you to leave a Glowday review. Don’t worry, only your first name and comment is published.
