I Just Don’t Have The Time!

When we asked patients what the things that prevented them from booking an aesthetics treatment were, ‘time’ was one of the core reasons given.

It Takes Too Long

It’s not just amount of time it takes for a treatment to take place, but rather it relates to the amount of time it takes to sit and research a treatment, find and research a practitioner, read reviews and find prices, in addition to the treatment time and time to recover.

“I’m put off by the time it takes to research and and to undertake any treatment, I only manage a hair cut every 6-8 months”

“I’m too lazy to find a practitioner”

There’s Not Much I Can Do About That!

While on the surface you might think this is beyond your control, there are actually a few things you can do to help overcome this barrier and convert patients from thinkers to a doers.

1. Make Search Simple

To make it easy for patients, make sure all of your information is in one place. If they have to go searching for it, they’ll give up or find someone else who provides them everything they need to know more simply. If you have a website, keep it clean, clear and imagine yourself as the patient. Is the information about your treatments relevant and useful? Does it answer any questions people have about those treatments, such as what’s involved, how long it might take, what they can and can’t do afterwards. Is your pricing as clear as it can be? Take a look and see what your own user experience is like. Do you come away with the info you need quickly and happily? Or are you left feeling frustrated and put off?

2. Keep Your Glowday Profile Up To Date

We learned here, that even if Kelsey’s patients find her via word of mouth or on social media, they’ll go to Glowday.com to check our her profile and read her reviews and see her before and after photos. Make sure your Glowday profile is up to date so that potential patients can find the information they need. If you’re using your GlowdayPRO subscription as intended, you should have lots of lovely reviews to boot too! Make sure your biography is up-to-date, relevant, sounds human and gives a flavour of who you are and what you stand for. Nobody wants to read a CV, make it interesting and informative, but not too formal and stuffy. Make sure you photos photos POP! Practitioners who use our professional photography get 7 X more views than those who use their own photos, and patients love being able to see what to expect!

Get all this right and patients will be pressing the ‘book now’ button before you know it.

3. Create Content

If you’re really struggling for time to create web content or social media reels and stories, you can share Glowday’s treatment guides which contain really useful and easy to read information about treatments, what’s involved, how long they take, recovery time and price ranges. Print them off to share with your patients or use them on your website, we don’t mind!

Head to Glowday.com where we house all of the amazing content for consumers and help yourself to any of the treatment guides! If you need them in a different format drop support@glowday.com an email

4. Keep Your Diary Up To Date

Your Glowday diary provides you with the means to remain completely organised and stay on top of your bookings, whether they’re made by patients directly or you put new appointments in yourself. Since it is visible to patients who want to check your availability and book appointments themselves, it’s vital that you make sure it’s up-to-date, making as many appointments available as you can - patients will be happy to book a long time in advance too! Just make it easy for them. Even if patients have been thinking about a treatment for a long time and holding back from booking for any number of reasons, if it’s made easy and obvious to them at the time they’re researching they can be rather spontaneous in the end and press the button! But if they have to email, text or message you, they might just not bother and forget about it again for a few more months. Seize the opportunities!
